Chin Filler Injectables Gold Coast & Brisbane

chin fillers for round face

Chin contour treatment refers to when a dermal filler is injected into the chin to enhance your side profile. Chin filler helps make your chin appear more prominent and/or more symmetrical and balanced. This creates definition in the lower third of the face and gives structure to your appearance. Suited to both male and female patients, many females prefer a soft contour to the chin while male patients typically prefer a more chiselled effect.

Chin filler is a non-permanent solution that lasts between 8 and 18 months for most patients. The results will be visible immediately following your treatment and minimal downtime is required. Chin filler injections take around 60 minutes to complete and are relatively painless. You will always be topically numbed before treatment to alleviate any discomfort you may feel.

Benefits of Chin Filler

  • Create definition – contouring the chin helps to create definition in the lower third of the face, creating a more structured appearance.
  • Balanced profile – the ideal facial profile is where the bridge of your nose is aligned with the front edge of your chin. Chin enhancement fillers can project your chin so that it matches this ideal projection for a more balanced and beautiful side profile.
  • Look happier – injecting filler into the chin can help to support the jowls. This support helps to prevent an angry-looking, down-turn of the lip muscles.
  • Look younger – as we age, the skull naturally rotates and the chin moves backwards. Correcting a receding chin can make us appear more radiant and vibrant.

What can be improved with chin filler?

Receding chin

Some people are born with a receding chin but in many cases among both men and women, a receding chin is a natural part of ageing. The chin recedes due to lost bone strength and soft tissue around the jaw. Chin contouring can aid with projection and reduce the appearance of this common problem.

Cleft chin

If you have a cleft chin – a prominent dimple or crease in the front of the chin – chin filler can correct this and round out the shape of your chin. You might be born with this or it can develop over time due to an asymmetrical jawbone. Dermal fillers can lessen the appearance of a cleft chin temporarily and improve the overall cosmetic aesthetics of your chin.

Weak jawline

If your chin is weak, it can contribute to the appearance of a pronounced jowl and a saggy neck. By injecting fillers to the underside of the chin, it helps to elongate the chin and helps to create jawline definition. By creating a defining line between the jaw and neck, chin filler can create the appearance of a stronger jawline.

The shape of the chin

Whether you’d like your chin to look more or less angular, more pointy, more square or more round, dermal filler can be used to mould the shape of your chin. Your goals for the treatment will be discussed in detail during your consultation and all options will be considered.

Am I a Good Candidate?

This treatment is ideal for you if you would like to change the size, shape, length or projection of your chin. If you have experienced volume loss in your chin and would like to create a stronger, more balanced side profile, you are likely to benefit from this treatment. If you would like a more angular shape or more definition around the lower third of your face, this treatment is a great option to achieve these aesthetic goals.

What to Expect

During your free consultation, your registered nurse injector will assess your chin and facial anatomy to determine the right method of treatment. Your options for changing the size, length, projection, shape and symmetry will be discussed while considering your aesthetic goals for your treatment and your ideal result. Your nurse will then develop a personalised treatment plan specific to you.

Once your consultation is complete, you will have photos taken. These will be stored confidentially for our injector to assess your progress.

Before your treatment, your chin will be cleaned thoroughly using a medical-grade, skin-safe cleaner and a numbing agent will be applied to minimise any discomfort. Your injectable product is mixed with anaesthetic to help with any discomfort. For topical anaesthetic, it’ll take about 15 minutes for the numbing agent to work, then your treatment will begin.

Your injections will be focused on the areas that you wish to improve, which can be a combination of the medial chin, the lateral chin, and/or the underside of the chin. You will be encouraged to assess your results with a handheld mirror and can suggest areas you may like to see more volume.

Once your treatment is complete, you will receive your aftercare instructions and a complimentary follow-up appointment will be arranged within the next fortnight.

What products do you use?

Please note that due to TGA guidelines, we are unable to advertise the brand names of dermal filler injectables on our website. However, we stock the leading brands of all injectable fillers injectables and are able to discuss these freely during your consultation.
