Team Doyle Surgical Team
Dr Doyle believes that working in a team is an extremely important way of providing the best possible quality treatment throughout your surgical journey.
“We understand that any surgery is stressful and anything we can do to make the process less intimidating is worth doing. In the operating theatre, I am very fortunate to work with 3 of the best medical practitioners I have ever met. I have selected them personally to make your surgical journey as safe and comfortable and stress-free as possible.
My anaesthetist, Dr Han Els has been my regular anaesthetist for over 4 years and now gives over 80% of all my anaesthetics. He is always a pleasure to work with and is very safe and caring. He will speak to you the day before your surgery to help alleviate any concerns that you may have and contact you following your surgery to make sure you are comfortable and have handled the anaesthetic well.
Anaesthetist, Dr Toni Rentoul gives the remaining 20% of the anaesthetics and is also a very caring and safe anaesthetist. She also is a pleasure to work with and normally works with the team on alternate Tuesdays.
Both anaesthetists cover each over when either of them are on holidays.
My Surgical Assistant, Karen Betts is a Nurse Practitioner, who has been my assistant in theatre and has worked in my office for the past 5 years. When she is not working with me she is assisting Dr Ben Anderson, our cardiac surgeon at John Flynn Hospital with his heart and lung surgery. She is very experienced and makes the operating lists run smoothly and efficiently. Her focus is on making your surgery as stress-free as possible.”
