We offer virtual consultations so that you can feel comfortable before making any decisions about your surgery.
In-Person Consultation
Once you make an informed decision about whether or not to go ahead, you can undergo surgery as soon as 10 days later. Before your procedure, you will need to undergo a mandatory in-person consultation with Dr Doyle to finalise any outstanding details.
Aftercare
Bring a friend
If you are a travelling patient, we urge you to bring a family member or friend with you to help you with your recovery. Immediately after your procedure, you will need someone to collect you from the hospital. If you can’t do this, you will be required to stay at John Flynn Private Hospital overnight.
How long to stay on the Gold Coast
We require that you stay on the Gold Coast for 14-days following your procedure so that we can closely monitor your recovery. You will need to attend our clinic approximately 5 days and 14 days after your procedure. This is so Dr Doyle can check how you are healing and provide post-operative care.

How long do I need to stay on the Gold Coast after surgery?
You will need to stay on the Gold Coast for at least 14-days following your surgery. This allows Dr Doyle to monitor your recovery and ensure you are healing normally.
Where should I stay?
We recommend that you stay in a nearby hotel or resort for your recovery period. You should have your own private room, where you can rest and recover from surgery. Please see below for the details of nearby accommodation options, or enquire if you are looking for something specific.
What appointments do I need to attend?
Once you have completed your surgery, we will schedule a number of follow up appointments for you. These appointments are so Dr Doyle can monitor how well you’re healing and ensure that everything is going according to plan. Typically, we require you to attend an appointment 5-days and 10-14 days after your procedure.
Can I consult virtually?
Yes, we offer virtual consultation appointments for all travelling (and local!) patients. This can help you make an informed decision about undergoing surgery with Dr Doyle at Gold Coast Plastic Surgery. We do, however, require that you attend an in-person consultation before your procedure. If you are flying in for your surgery, we’ll make sure that this appointment time works with your travel plans.
